Draping Signature Evening Gown

I have been assigned to design and construct a signature gown with a structured bustier, intricate embellishments and unique draping techniques.

Followed by a zero-waste skirt using sustainable techniques in silhouettes, experiment with draping to create visually intriguing details such as asymmetrical folds, sculptural elements and or unexpected fabric manipulations.

Bustier followed by skirt
For embellishments, I have decided to use mesh to create ruffles and sew on crystal beads. I also used square diamond spikes for the back crossover straps

Making my zero-waste skirt below by utilising the remaining fabric used for the draped bustier. (Excludes lining.)

Here's the process:
The following is my outcome in the form of both mannequin and photoshoot.
